The Matthew Glazier Memorial Scholarship

Our Mission

The Matthew Chancellor Glazier Memorial Scholarship was formed in 2016 to honor the memory of Matthew Chancellor Glazier.  The Scholarship is a 501(C)-3.  A yearly scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Etowah High School Lacrosse Player that most closely exhibits Matthew’s qualities to include:  Character, Academic Achievement, Athletic Achievement and Community Involvement.

Previous SCholarship recipient Winners

  • The 7th recipients of the 2022 Matthew Glazier Scholarship went to: Joseph Didzbalis and Julian Robinson. 

  • The 6th recipients of the (2021) Matthew Glazier Memorial Scholarship went to: Carsen Reeder attending Sacred Heart University and Payton Schillcutt attending the University of Alabama.

  • The 5th recipient of the (2020) Matthew Glazier Memorial Scholarship was awarded in May to Andrew Graner who will be attending Kennesaw State University.

  • The 4th recipients of the (2019) of the Matthew Glazier Memorial Scholarship went to:

    • 2019 Etowah Recipient:  Justin Sherrer attending the University of MD in the fall

    • 2019 ATL Recipient:  Brady Hannick (rising Senior)

  • The 3rd recipients (2018) of the Matthew Glazier Memorial Scholarship went to:

    • 2018 Etowah Recipient: Jackson Lambert attending Berry College

    • 2018 ATL Recipient: Donavan Harike attending Auburn University

  • The 2nd recipients (2017) of the Matthew Glazier Memorial Scholarship went:

    • Ryan Schillcut attending Kennesaw State University

    • Zach Archer attending the University of Alabama, respectively.

  • The first recipient of the Matthew Glazier Memorial Scholarship was awarded in May 2016 to Jack Sawyer who is attending Kennesaw State University.
